2011 Employees of the Month

December 2011: Danisha Sheppard

“I would like to nominate Danisha Sheppard for Employee of the Month. Danisha has been instrumental in communicating with and educating the CDMHC staff on the SCEIS System.  She has been working tirelessly to ensure that all questions from staff have been answered and consistently taking the time to walk staff through the “working time” and ‘leave request’ process on a one-on-one basis.  Danisha took the initiative and created quick reference sheets for staff and has kept supervisors and staff in the communication loop with updates/changes. In addition to taking the lead with the ‘Going Live with SCEIS’ project, Danisha has continued to provide Wellness incentives for CDMHC, including the continuation of Yoga and is currently working on a Biggest Loser program for 2012.  Danisha has also been cross training in the Human Resources Department and has gradually taken the lead to coordinate the FMLA program as well as the Workers Compensation Program for CDMHC.  Danisha has also taken on the responsibilities of the All Star of the Month and Do You Know Programs, working directly with supervisors and Sr Management.  Danisha has been growing as a professional, demonstrating enhanced systems knowledge and processes.

Her dedication and diligence is whole heartedly appreciated!”

November 2011: Monica Hugee

“…Monica is a high energy worker who is absolutely dedicated to her clients, their families, and her schools. With regard to her Clients, Monica’s productivity is always well over the required amount reflecting her desire to provide continuity of care, & she works some flexible hours to be able to see Clients who have tight schedules. With regard to her families, Monica had two families who did not make it on our Thanksgiving Basket List so she made up and delivered baskets to them herself on her own time. Finally, with regard to her schools, she spent Veterans Day at Spann Elementary School (one of hers) helping with the programs and she was a featured singer. Monica does her best in everything she does. We are so fortunate to have her on our team.” – Submitted by Sandy Ward

October 2011: Montina Lee

“Montina Lee is a clinical counselor located at Liberty Hill Academy. She has been stationed there for 4 years. She provides RPS, Behavior Modification, and TCM. She has met productivity every single month this year and has not had any late documentation. Montina has shown excellent skills as a clinician. The students/clients benefit greatly from her expertise. In addition, Montina has started several programs at LHA that go above and beyond her job duties. Montina has organized a reward system for the clients that motivate them to higher levels of performance. She gathers these rewards to present to the clients herself by various methods including soliciting from her friends outside of work, from the LHA community, and calling on businesses in the community that provide some outstanding rewards for the clients.

Also, Montina has instituted at Christmas getting donations for the LHA clients so that each of the clients has some type of present that is just for them. She does this in conjunction with LHA teachers and staff. She volunteers for any special event that LHA is putting together for the students. She is a true team player.

These are just a few of the attributes that Montina has demonstrated over the years at LHA. The mental health center is indeed fortunate to have her as an employee. The students/clients have benefited greatly from her presence.”

September 2011: A. Yvette Williams

“I would like to recommend A. Yvette Williams as employee of the month for September. She does a great job supporting the team and she is excellent at helping families work through crisis. Yvette uses a number of creative teaching and coaching skills to include role playing to help clients with making decisions as it pertains to everyday life which contributes to their stability and recovery. Most recently Yvette was asked to take on the responsibility of PAP representative for Dorchester Clinic. Her people skills and pharmaceutical knowledge has been a perfect fit for this important job and she has been positive, solution focused and a go-getter in this role. Her response when asked how things are going is “peachy.” This response is in perfect character with her bright and cheery personality. Yvette is a flexible and supportive employee who embraces the challenges and changes of her team. She is an excellent example of an outstanding employee and she is a great asset to her team, the Dorchester Clinic and the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center.” – Submitted by Rochelle Hampleton

August 2011: Juli Giglio

“I WISH TO NOMINATE Juli Giglio as Employee of the Month for CDMHC. Juli has been with the MHC for only a year. Yet, in the short time she has been here she has mastered many of the operational tasks related to the Center’s human resources function. Many staff, line employees as well as supervisors, have conveyed to me their appreciation of the services she provides, and her willingness to routinely go above and beyond the call of duty. I have also heard many positive comments about her attention to detail and follow-through.

In addition to providing focused customer friendly services, Juli has also designed and instituted valuable tracking systems within her department to retain, analyze, and report HR data. Also, she developed a procedure/”how to” manual for many of the HR tasks that are completed on both a frequent and infrequent basis.

I believe this MHC is fortunate to have a committed, dependable individual of Juli’s caliber on its staff and am convinced she truly deserves this honor.” – Submitted by Kirby Bond
