Meet Our Team

The staff of CDMHC is incredibly diverse and consists of highly trained and credentialed individuals skilled in providing EAP services, manager consultations, workplace trainings, and clinical services. These individuals are master’s prepared counselors and therapists, registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, and psychiatric physicians. Below are just a few of our outstanding team leaders!

Melissa Camp

Director of Special Operations & Crisis Management

Melissa oversees many of the innovative, creative, and unique programs that CDMHC offers to include our 24/7 Call Center and the Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic. She manages a team of clinicians that staff the 24/7 call center used by employees and managers. Melissa is recognized in South Carolina as a leading expert in Crisis Negotiations and is a frequent trainer on this topic. She has been in the field for the past 15 years.

Cathy Joyner, M.Ed., LPC

Staff Development & Training Coordinator

Cathy is a licensed professional counselor, clinical supervisor, and staff development coordinator for the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center (CDMHC). She is a master trainer who has been in the mental health field for over 22 years. Cathy and a team of CDMHC staff offer a wide variety of workshops and trainings for employees and managers to include stress management, communication skills, manager consultations & debriefings, making effective EAP referrals, parenting, addiction/recovery, and many more. She received her B.A. from Clemson University and her Masters degree in clinical counseling from the Citadel.

Elliott Levy, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Levy directs our psychiatric team in addition to serving as a member of the medical team at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has worked for the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center (CDMHC) for many years to include serving as Medical Director for the CDMHC Crisis Stabilization Unit. His team offers the highest quality psychiatric care for employees and their families.
